Former MTSU wide receiver Garrett Andrews said he sued the NFL in hopes of ending the lockout and gaining what could be his “one shot to get into the league.”
Andrews, who played for the Blue Raiders the last two seasons, sued the NFL and its individual teams Tuesday in federal court in Minnesota, alleging the league violated antitrust laws and created an anticompetitive market.
At best, Andrews could be a late-round draft pick. But he would likely be an undrafted free agent. And because free agency is halted during the lockout, Andrews fears an opportunity to get into an

NBA Draft 2011: Kemba Walker Should Be First Guard Taken If He Declares

Despite being a junior, it appears Connecticut Huskies guard Kemba Walker will reportedly graduate early this summer.
If he stays longer, however, that would be a big mistake.
An early graduation would be the perfect fit for Walker, whose NBA Draft stock has soared in the postseason, from the Big East Tournament to the NCAA Tournament, where he has the Huskies headed to the Final Four.
Before the NCAA Tournament, ESPN Insider Chad Ford wrote about Walker, "He's fearless. If there was one guy you'd put your money on to have a big tournament, it's him. The rest of his

NFL Trade Rumors: Kevin Kolb, Carson Palmer and All the Latest NFL Trade Buzz

The Miami Dolphins are getting used to being at the center of many NFL rumors. First it was their head coach, and now it is their disappointing quarterback. This is not a franchise known for hiding its true feelings.
Chad Henne failed to live up to his lofty expectations last season. He didn't even come close. With Bill Parcells out, it would not be the least bit surprising to see Miami look to acquire a veteran quarterback.
If they don't, then trading those draft picks for wide receiver Brandon Marshall last season was a complete an utter waste. They may

VCU?s run a sight to behold

If you’re into buzzer-beaters, Virginia Commonwealth isn’t for you.
Controversial finishes? The Rams have none of them.
No. 11 seed VCU was content to kick tail all the way to its first Sweet 16 in San Antonio, the latest victim third-seeded Purdue 94-76 Sunday in a third-round Southwest Regional game at the United Center.
If you haven’t been paying attention, the Rams (26-11) are this season’s George Mason. They even hail from the same conference, the Colonial Athletic Association. And if they keep this up, they might prove to be even better than the famed 2006 Patriots.
“We’re not satisfied,”

LeBron James backs Duke in the NCAA Tournament

Heat forward LeBron James showed his U.S. national team coach some respect Wednesday when he picked Duke to win the national championship in one of his brackets.
James played for Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski in the 2008 Beijing Games. James said he also picked Ohio State to win, but his bracket predicting back-to-back championships for the Blue Devils was uploaded onto his website and Twitter, creating buzz before Wednesday’s game.
“I got two brackets, so I’ve got mixed feelings,” James said. “My heart wants Ohio State to win but Duke’s experience; they’ve got a really good team and hearing [Wednesday]

Vegas enjoys himself as PGA Tour thrill ride continues

DORAL, Fla. — Nearly a quarter of a century ago, Jhonattan Vegas began playing golf in Venezuela with broomsticks and stones. In January, when he earned his first PGA Tour win at the Bob Hope Classic, Vegas was hailed in his native land by anti-golf, leftist ruler Hugo Chavez for beating all the "gringos." On Monday, Vegas played in a group including Jack Nicklaus in a golf tournament at esteemed Seminole Golf Club. Today, he begins play in the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at TPC Blue Monster. Next month, Vegas plays in the Masters.
Go ahead, pinch him. Vegas will
